Meet Angela
Angela Garland is a nonprofit manager, community advocate, and elected Cherry Creek School District Board Director who has spent her career building partnerships, stretching limited resources, and delivering real results for families. A working mom and lifelong learner, Angela understands the real-life juggle of career, caregiving, and raising kids, and she has made it her mission to build systems that make that balance easier for everyone. She is a proud Democrat, focused on expanding opportunity and supporting working and middle-class families.
Angela brings decades of hands-on experience turning good ideas into working programs. As Director for Scouting Colorado, she oversees community engagement and builds relationships between local leaders and the next generation.
Her career also spans Girls Inc., Friends First, and Great Education Colorado, where she developed curriculum, launched advocacy workshops, and expanded academic and cultural opportunities for students. She has deep experience with grant writing, budgeting, data reporting, and equity implementation, always measuring success by the impact on families.
Now Angela is running for Arapahoe County Commissioner in District 2, because county government should quietly make daily life work better: safer streets, attainable housing, stronger small businesses, and services that are easy to navigate. She believes in evidence, transparency, and public-private partnerships that expand opportunity for working families. Angela knows how to bring people together to deliver real results for our community.
